I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
